About Resilient Voices
Resilient Voices is a leadership development company focused on nervous system literacy as an organizational and leadership competency. Founded by Carolyn Hart and Ryan Clarke, the company works with leaders and organizations who recognize that sustainable performance, effective communication, and strong culture all depend on something most leadership development ignores: the nervous system.
Resilient Voices operates across corporate, public sector, nonprofit, and healthcare-adjacent environments, bringing the rigour of high-performance environments to the full range of organizations where leadership development matters. The work is practical, evidence-informed, and built for leaders who are done with development that doesn't translate back to Monday morning.

About Carolyn Hart
Carolyn Hart is a researcher, author, facilitator, and leadership coach whose work sits at the intersection of nervous system science, leadership capacity, and organizational culture. With over 17 years of corporate leadership experience, including senior roles in the pharmaceutical industry, she spent a decade noticing the same pattern: leaders with excellent skills, strong intentions, and genuine commitment who kept hitting the same walls under pressure. The answer, she came to understand, wasn't more skills. It was nervous system literacy.
Carolyn holds an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Adler University (Valedictorian, Class of 2018) and is a current doctoral candidate. She is the author of two Amazon bestselling books: Rules of Engagement and Evolve: The Path to Trauma-Informed Leadership. She is also the host of Evolve: A New Era of Leadership, a podcast with 90+ episodes exploring the intersection of self-awareness and nervous system literacy in modern leadership. She is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator and the founder of Resilient Voices.
Her central argument, that nervous system literacy is a leadership competency, not a wellness practice, is reshaping how forward-thinking organizations approach performance, communication, and sustainable leadership.
Signature Talk
Stop Overriding Your Biology: How Nervous System Literacy Changes the Way You Lead
Leaders aren't failing because they lack strategy, intelligence, or work ethic. They're failing because they're trying to override something that cannot be overridden. In this talk, Carolyn Hart (formerly Carolyn Swora) makes the case that nervous system literacy is the missing competency in modern leadership and offers a clear, evidence-informed framework for understanding why even high-performing leaders get stuck, shut down, and burn out. Practical, direct, and immediately applicable.

She is available for podcast guest appearances, keynote and breakout speaking, executive education, panel conversations, and media commentary on leadership, burnout, nervous system science, and organizational performance.
